For creators
On PixIt, photographers keep 80% of every job and 100% of every tip. Jobs range from £50 to £999,999, joining costs nothing, and there are no subscriptions or lead fees — money reaches your bank 2–5 working days after you deliver.
The maths
PixIt takes 20% of a job's price and that is the entire cost of the platform. No monthly membership underneath, no fee to appear in search, no credits to spend answering enquiries. A month with no bookings costs you £0.
Compare that with pay-to-pitch sites where answering a single enquiry costs money whether or not you win it — the full comparison is in PixIt vs Bark.
How work arrives
Protection
If a client cancels late, you're compensated on a sliding scale — 10% of the job with 2–24 hours' notice, 20% under 2 hours, and 30% mid-shoot, up to £250 per booking. If you're already travelling when they pull the plug, the minimum is 20%. Your time has a price even when the shoot doesn't happen.
Every job also runs through the app's ladder of protections — verified identities on both sides, payment held centrally, and location kept coarse (about 500 metres) until a booking is confirmed. The details are in how PixIt works.

Questions
80% of whatever the job pays. Jobs run from the £50 minimum to £999,999 — so a £250 booking pays you £200 and a £1,500 wedding pays £1,200. Tips are passed through in full, and there are no other fees to subtract.
No. Signing up, being verified, appearing in search and receiving job pings are all free. PixIt only earns when you do — 20% of a completed job. There is no subscription tier, no featured-listing fee, and no charge to accept a ping.
The client's money is already held by PixIt from the moment they book. Once you deliver the edited files through the app, the payment is released and reaches your bank account within 2 to 5 working days.
You're compensated on a sliding scale: 10% of the job price with 2–24 hours' notice, 20% with under 2 hours, at least 20% if you're already en route, and 30% if the shoot has started — capped at £250 per booking. Cancellations more than 24 hours out are free for the client.
No. There's no bidding and no lead fees. Clients post jobs with the budget attached; if one suits you, you accept it — free — and the client chooses from the creators who accepted. Your portfolio competes, not your wallet.
